How is media changing the ways we interact with cities? ( andrew robbins ) Come to have representation of space on our mind for the media we consume. You gotta figure out how to get places. Media creates pictures of places in our minds. Media interacts with the map we are using. Come together in a different way - find dates, hook-ups, etc. Uses gps systems to broadcast where you are. We use media to broadcast ourselves in physical spaces, tell others where we are, and create logs of places we"ve been. Apps that are location-based for social networks: Swarm (gaming features from games: mayor of a particular location, coins, etc to now logging) Google trusted contacts (2016) (marketing as a personal safety.
