Emotional testimonials are more effective than: ads featuring reminders about dangers f second hand smoke, ads featuring encouraging advice on quitting, ads with disturbing images and threatening images. Condition that affects a person"s thinking, feeling, r mood, and these mental and/or behavioral patterns interfere with a parson"s daily life functions: ex: depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc. People with mental illnesses are criminal or violent. People with mental illness look different than others. People with mental illness are childish and silly. Psychiatric hospitals cause more harm than good. Mental illnesses are all severe or extreme: the most extreme or most rare disorders tend to be disproportionately represented, depression is the biggest in real life but isn"t represented well. Depictions of those on the autism spectrum: typically portray high-functioning, savant individuals.
