If you had to choose a society to belong to from behind a veil of ignorance (ie. without knowing your race, sexuality, gender, etc. It would not make sense to choose this society because you do not know you would be a white man. A utilitarian society in which aggregate social utility is maximized-policies are always geared towards maximizing the happiness of the majority. It would not make sense to choose this society because you might not be in the happy majority. A market driven society where basic liberties are equally. Society c) protected, and there is virtually unlimited social mobility for those with certain talents and opportunities. It would not make sense to choose this society because you might not have said talents or opportunities. Society d) protected and wealth and income are distributed in a perfectly egalitarian way. It would not make sense to choose this society because everyone might just be held to a pretty low standard.
