Authoritative: high acceptance, high control flexible, democratic, warm, accepting provide guidance, control. Best outcomes higher self-esteem, achievement, etc. Authoritarian: low acceptance, high control restrictive, set rules, expect obedience, power-asserting parents. Permissive: high acceptance, low control lax, have few demands, rarely attempt to control kids" behavior. Kids tend to get into early sexual behavior, drug use.
