Emotional upset can occur among family members. Legal state(cid:373)e(cid:374)t that e(cid:454)presses a perso(cid:374)"s (cid:449)ishes for the (cid:373)a(cid:374)age(cid:373)e(cid:374)t of his/her affairs after death. Advanced directives: living will, durable power of attorney. Dnr: do not resuscitate: avoids life-sustaining treatments that prolong life, ex. Treatments that will not prolong life but will make the person more comfortable. Can be provided in the home, ltc, or in the hospital. Focus is on the living, not dying.
