Enmeshed (high): high cohesion, emotion bond with each other. Family always first: often family problems arise if extreme on either end. Adaptability: ability to change power structure, role relationship, and relational rules in response to stress. Ex. deaths, births, new/loss job: range from low to high ability: Rigid (low): low ability to adapt to stressors, often occurs when traditional gender roles are in place, lots of rules and structure. Structured (low to moderate) : few rules, can adjust a little.
