Gene is a stretch of dna that codes for a protein. Which chromosome are they on and where on the chromosome: project began in 1990; draft announced in 2000, complete draft in. 2003: more than 3 billion nucleotide pairs, estimated 30,000 genes identified. Which shows a lot of our dna is not coded by proteins: volunteers near laboratories contributed dna samples for sequencing; identities of the volunteers are not known. There was this idea that basically all human genetics is the same no matter who is giving the same. Race has no genetic or scientific basis. craig venter: they all emphasize that there is no biological race! No racial difference proof by looking at the human genome. Who has access and is included in scientific research: movie: gene watch from 2009, comes out after the human genome project is out which gives definitive proof that human variation is not racial, what are the implication.
