Document Summary

It needs to be in our cells to have a temperature where it can survive. If it comes out to your skin it will dry out. Very fragile, unless it gets into our cells where it will make billions of copies of itself. Virus has a membrane made of lipids, the membrane is similar to our cell membranes. Within there is a protein coat and a viral genomes made of rna. Specific viral proteins that (cid:449)e do(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e spe(cid:272)ifi(cid:272) for (cid:448)irus, the protei(cid:374) is gp(cid:1005)(cid:1006)(cid:1004) There are proteins on the outer membrane where it binds. Cd4 is always necessary and one additional protein to stick tightly known as a co-receptor: two flavors: cxcr4. It wants to incorporate into our genome (nucleus), it will be able to transcribe genes such as ours, to make copies of itself, however our genome is made of dna. It can"t intergrate rna into our dna (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause (cid:449)ere a(cid:271)le to se(cid:374)se it a(cid:374)d (cid:272)ut it out.
