Plants produce oxygen, build and hold together soil, create a moderate climate, hold water, and are primary producers. (cid:149) compare and contrast the following types of plants. Nonvascular plants lack any sort of vascular tissue for support or moving water and nutrients, ex. mosses. Seedless vascular plants have vascular tissue (a special group of cells that conduct water and nutrients to parts of the plant). Do not make seeds but make microscopic spores, ex. ferns. Seed plants contains seeds that consist of an embryo nutritious tissue. (cid:149) Fill out the blank synapomorphies.
