Biomes, climate and weather: terrestrial biomes: region characterized by distinct abiotic characteristics & by the dominant types of vegetation, primary abiotic factor is climate: prevailing, long-term weather condition of a region. *from textbook: subtropical deserts, where we live. *from textbook: at 30 degrees north & south latitudes, there tend to be subtropical deserts, has to do w/ a phenomenon called a hadley cell, an important cycle in the global circulation of air.
