Low poverty status is strongly connected to higher levels of criminal arrest and homicide for every age, and poverty level is a significantly larger predictor of arrest and homicide risk than is age (brown and males 2011) White collar crime : being skeptical of the idea that poverty is the driver of crime class is this dominant idea, dominant reason as to why people commit crime. Financial costs: even if we focus on street crimes and burglary, typically the typical white collar crime involves several times more than adding up individual burglaries and robberies.
