Looks at early child ed from role of teacher. 2 years of overlap, because children develop at different rates. 3rd grade, most think it"s middle already but it depends on how you develop. Emotional- kids don"t really know how to control themselves. Learning how to recognize and manage their emotions. Gross motor skills- bigger movements, walking, jumping, etc. Fine- writing, tying shoe, things you do with fingers etc. Kids are initiating things, and teachers are initiating things, and nothing happens unless you work together. Can be what the kids are interested in learning. Plan things good for them all around- physical activity, socially, where we want them to go, how to get them there. Feedback about what was good- that goes all the way.
