o Part 1 is the topic of your interest as an essay
▪ In which you will detail the research areas under EECS that you
pick
• In either CpE or EE, you must choose a field and create an
outline of its purpose and research goals
• Think about where you intend to see yourself in 10 years
• Think about all the possible paths available to you and
where you are leaning towards
▪ Discuss available technology, new developments, and designs
• Make sure to include references
▪ Which sector do you plan to work in?
• What are the possible employers for this sector
▪ One page essay; 10 or 11 point font
▪ Breakdown of sections
• Title and author
• Overview and challenges in chosen area of study
• Career opportunities in chosen area of study
o Part 2 is your constructed schedule
▪ Tying into the career in part 1, you must build a plan of study
