Mexico did not have a social revolution or a marxist candidate that was sworn into power. Pri was elected in on the 1920s all the way till 2000 during cold war mexico seemed the most stable government. Mexico had a revolution and agrarian reform before the cold war. Then has a one party state that was very popular among the people. Begins in 1910 and ends in 1920. It is known to be the most modern. Kills over half a million people and it makes people become displaces. It was a struggle about land struggles that result in indian and peasant rage as they lost land. Emiliano zapata and pancho villa were leaders of different factions of the revolution. Not a social revolution there is never a political party or a guerilla attempting to seize power. It ended rule by the oligarchy and it transferred power to mexico"s non-elite and middle class workers.
