Instruction manuals guide the reader to achieve a result. Tutorials are broader an overview of the system. We will focus on giving a high-level description of the system and its capabilities. Motivate why you target audience should care. Describe everyday features: even simple systems can have details that will take forever to explain. Focus on the users that interact with the system and the functionality that is useful to them: if you wanted to get into the details of certain key features . There are other ways such as demos, instructions, and apis: hide the minor details and only include relevant information to the reader, example: teaching my mom how to use a laptop. Focus on the key features desktop analogies, files/ folders, etc. Don"t focus on hardware components, network communication, etc. Q: what should you focus on when writing your system tutorial (what we look for): Make sure you"re introducing your system to a novice user.
