Adolescents seem to be the most vulnerable when it comes to video game addiction due to how popular gaming is with the youth. Can be speculated to have social problems and may have difficulties functioning in everyday life. They may even have different types of disorders. Role playing gamers, as well as shooter and strategy gamers, are most vulnerable to addiction. Motivation to play seems to play a part in addiction: people who play for fun or socializing are less likely to be caught in addiction than those who play for status.
