Last time we talked about locke in the state of nature. A state in which people were to be guided by the law of nature -- nothing more than reason. The result of that is that there are inconveniences in the state of nature, according to. But first, there was ways of describing a given context and using different words that suggest different instances. Now locke, in the world with which he is having a debate is hobbes. Hobbe says that the state of nature turns into a state of war. The society must have a strong government because left to their state of nature there is a state of war -- to stop war there needs to be a strong government. Government by the consent of the government. He definitely does not argue for a strong government. He (who?) tells us there are certain inconveniences in the state of nature -- p. 12.
