Globalization has two main types of impacts. People learn to connect with each other, despite cultural differences. Argument: the world is coming closer together. Yet, despite our similarities, despite our ability to connect faster than ever, despite our increase commonalities in fashion, taste and media . We still maintain national, regional, and cultural identities. We do not all live in 1 country. There are roughly 165 states in the world. This leads to the second impact of globalization. Greater economic and cultural integration, further entrenches the differences between the haves and the have-nots. There is a developing world and a developed world. But there is also a developing world within the developed world. Also, there is a developed world within the developing world. Alarming inequality in countries like brazil, china, india, the philippines. Theories and frameworks give you different windows through which to view the world.
