The species with lots of predators, spend more time awake they need to watch their safety. Need more sleep during periods of growth. Eeg is a way of measuring brain activity and brain waves. Brain waves are categorized in different categories based on frequencies. Either the waves are spread out of smashed together. When we are awake, we have alpha waves. When we are asleep, we go through different stages of sleep (5 stages) Aware of what"s going around, sensation of falling. Light sleep, but characterized with slower brain waves with bursts of brain activity. You"ll do something, but won"t remember it. Sometimes called paradoxical sleep, has elements of light stage sleep.
