Can look at situations like a detective (i see teeth, they must be smiling) Yes -> more controlled by motor area. Look at expressions, reading them, & responding with own facial expressions. If cannot read the facial expressions, you cannot necessarily respond as well. Makes for a delayed reaction -> can hurt social interaction. Cannot respond to someone smiling with a smile. Hard to analyze expressions when face is upside down -> best for upright faces. Shows women trying to take a man"s watch while distracting him. Not only listen to someone talking -> you look at their lips. What you hear is affected by what you are seeing someone"s mouth do.
