Conscientiousness: how organized/goal-oriented you are; being organized, systematic, punctual, achievement oriented, dependable. Extraversion: how outgoing you are/how you get your energy. Agreeableness: how easy to get along with you are; being affable, tolerant, sensitive, trusting, kind, warm. Neuroticism: how emotional you are; being anxious, irritable, temperamental, moody. In many cultures, the same big five traits are evident. E. g. many western european cultures, those traits are found. Personality paradox - the idea that people behave much less consistently than a trait conception would predict. In a less structured environment: more likely to be yourself. In more structured environment: act in ways you think you"re supposed to act. If you"re in a lecture, you"re quiet. If you"re more extroverted, then you"re more likely to be talkative in any situation.
