Personality traits = puzzle pieces that make up personality. Ex/ how messy, outgoing, or nice you are, etc. Siblings vs parents and children: shared environments does not equal similar personalities, school, other environmental factors, nonshared environment effectively shapes personality. General tendencies (broad: activity lvl: overall amt of energy, emotionality: intensity of emotional rxns, sociability: general tendency to affiliate w/ others. Inhibition starting from 2-3 mo.
