The leader and some others lie, cheat, and steal. Motivation was to give backpacks and supplies to injured veterans. Started as a very small charity and grew to be enormous. Ceo repelled down the side of the building, which drew attention to him, but wasn"t appropriate because it"s a charity group at the end of the day. High overhead rate: if it is 40%, that is the percentage of charity that doesn"t go to the beneficiaries, i. e. expenses and other running the org expenses. They were getting c"s and d"s by the rating org. Believe they were let go because they were being whistleblowers. Leaders said they wanted the project to function as a for-profit entity. As the project developed, focus on measurable success. Veterans getting fired easily, and this org was supposed to help them.
