Set of important ethical issues that relate to global health concerns human rights. International conventions recognize access to health services and health info as human rights. However, big gaps in access to health services in many countries. Failure to respect human rights = harm to human health. This is the case for illnesses such as leprosy, tb, hiv (providers won"t provide best care because they are afraid to work w/them) Efforts to maintain public health while dealing w/ new emerging diseases raises ethical and human rights issues. Another set of ethical issues comes with research and human subjects. When using human subjects in health research, participants in research are put at risk for sake of others. Important to ensure health investments are fair and made in fair ways.
