“sigh” Life. No matter what people tell you in this crazy world, life sometimes can be ironic.At least … that's how my life turned out to be. Once I was a young girl with my whole life and endless possibilities to look forward to. Now, Im 70 years old and nearing the last leg of my life, all alone with no one by my side. Now on top of that, doctors have told me that I lung cancer. Ha … as if life couldn't throw me any more curveballs. Well I'm probably going to spend my last $100 on smoking my self to death. As I sit outside on my porch, gazing away into the summer sky, I think back to the one good summer I had. The one that determined the path I would take for the rest of my life. I will never forget that warm summer day, when I met Ian. I was only 13, and was at the top of my class and was going up against a high school senior for the academic decathlon.
