Great wall was created to keep huns out on the northern border. 91 ad china were able to in ict a devastating military defeat on the huns led to the division of the original hun tribe. Southern tribe were forced by chinese to come live inside china. China wanted to tame the huns which will eventually back re on them. Northern huns split into two new groups (black and white) White move south west and end in india and persia. 317 ad china was ruled by the western chin dynasty. Huns had been living within china for centuries but kept cultural identity, warlike customs. Rose up and destroyed the western chin dynasty and plunge china into anarchy. Would take china exactly 300 before it was able to recover.
