When we"re talking about what we believe to be true, we"re talking about two things: what to say - the truth and associated truths; can never really say everything about anything. You can tell the truth, without telling all of the associated truths. Over the last 25 we have developed a cheating culture in the united states. Always say less than necessary, because powerful people intimidate by saying less: actively withholding information, machiavellian - getting people to do what you want them to do, while making them think it was their idea. People who lie situationally: not as easy as saying yes: i lie; no, i don"t, context is important. In situational truth and deception, we look at consequences.
