Personal history of breast cancer, dense breasts and other breast problems. Lump or firm feeling near breast or under arm. At least once a month: observe breasts in mirror with shoulders straight and arms on hips. Keep fingers flat, and use small, circular motion. Feel entire breast: top to bottom, side to side, clavicle to inferior margin of ribcage, armpit to mid sternum: stand/sit and feel breasts as describes in step 4. 25 y/o: test if sexually active and at increased risk. 20-45 y/o: if at increased risk for heart disease. Annual (no evidence to support or refute effectiveness as preventive measure) External inspection: external genitalia, urethral meatus, perianal region. < 21 y/o or > 65 y/o (no routine testing)
