Historically racist country (only allowed africans into country through slave ships until 1965) Top 5 states ranked by # of immigrants. Family reunification- legal us citizen asks for family to be granted visa. Close family, children/spouse (few years to go through). The broader the family the slower the process (15 to 20 years) Invest in a small business and hire american workers. After time and success with your business, they can continue the residency/citizenship process. Shortage of american employment, not enough educated stem graduates. Must show that they tried to fulfill it with. Terrible wages and jobs that americans refuse to take. In march 2017 president said h1b visas will be reduced starting this year, and there will be an increase in h2b.
