Document Summary

When pre synaptic receives stimulus leads to opening of gap junction or ion channels and different ions either enter or leave the cell and causes stimulation of pre and post synaptic compartment. Neuropeptide y: involved in blood vessels and memory and learning. Leptin and corticotropin releasing hormone control the appetite. Secreted by fat tissue which controls the appetite. Androgen: causes facial acne during puberty, controls the body hair growth in female which is first sign of puberty. Nitric oxide: acts as vasodilator has direct effect on smooth muscle of dorsal vein (erection in male) Receptor on smooth muscle of dorsal vein of penis, which causes erection in male motor neuron: causes movement or contraction of muscle. After binding of ach to ach receptor leads to opening of sodium/potassium channels and depolarization. Enters into postsynaptic and releasing of calcium from sr (sarcoplasmic reticulum) Calcium concentration increases in the postsynaptic compartment and that calcium binds to troponin c.
