Women have a sexual attraction to bad boys. 1/3 crime stories feature homicide (overplay murders and homicides) Fbi: only 1% of all violent offenses and 0. 1% are all serious offenses. Mean world syndrome: people have a fear of danger due to the media. Tv and movies have helped turned criminals into celebrities. Glorification of mass killers has created a big-money market. Son of sam laws: cannot make money off of crimes (ex. Selling the murder gun on ebay: struck down in 1991, ebay stopped in 2001 with the murder memorabilia. Killing: the most general notion of extinguishing life (not all acts of killing are illegal)
