Cnvii (facial) as well as the cervical nerves. Deeper face muscles pg 443: muscles of mastication: innervated by cn v (mandibular nerve, elevate the mandible; for chewing, innervated by the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve. Scalene muscles: between the anterior and middle scalene muscles is an opening called the scalene gap, transmits the subclavian artery and the brachial plexus, innervated by the brachial plexus and cervical plexus.
