We see that the surgace emits about 390 w/m^2. 350 w/m^2 is absorved by the atmosphere (greenhosue effect) and only 40 w/m^2 makes its way into space. 324 w/m^2 are emitted downwards fromt he atmosphere to the surface. Desserts in areas where you have falling air and tropical in areas with rising air.
