Landscape doesn"t matter to the bird, because it"s not essential to the bird. The map is incomplete in many ways. There are castles on it (for invasion) Flags (some type of identifier for the people in those places) Different colorings (to distinguish water and grass) There are only two towns (jurselium and venice) Indixicle to the environment (between the buildings and the landscapes that surrounds it) Riddle with buildings (to help put an image to a place and help define that place) Pictography: is a form of writing which uses representational, pictorial drawings. Chorography: the systematic description and mapping of regions or districts. Well known for his collected book of maps. Map of the world from the kitab-i bahriye. He is not an explorer (but he was able to create these maps) Highlight the lake with gold bordering (maybe the lake is very important)
