Either fighting with or marrying within all of the relationships fluctuate and change generation after generation. Two very important sites are yaxchilan and bonampak are located along the usumacinta river (which forms the boundary between nations of guatemala and mexico today). Bonampak, chiapas: the site is relatively small, perhaps a third of fourth tier site. The major work of art here is in structure 1, ad 791. Maya people were beginning to direct travelers in this region to this area, where it was discovered that there was a preservation of murals. They were found originally underneath deposited calcium: water leaking into these buildings caused the lime in the limestone to create a casing that protected the murals. The building itself is about 60 meters long, 4 meters wide, a very compact building.
