Sandy grushow: fox broadcasting, now digital media consultant, open office hours 10am-12pm, was disruptive because he developed a fourth network, television channels. No such thing as public speaking it"s about speaking to individuals. You can only speak to one person at a time. Don"t be content with your content it"s not enough what you have on the slides you still have to engage. The audience supports you they want you to succeed. Make sure the real you shows up. Eye contact: you can only speak to one person at a time. Conversational tone: talk like you would to your best friend (but professionally) Humor: (link to beginning of the story, etc. ) call to action will solve the original problem you brought up. Visuals: icons, but not stereotypical icons, not a lot of text, know your audience. Purpose, age, available, time, decision making capacity, experience, personality, what they expect, where they come from.
