Talk therapy is usually given for emotional disorder. Most would say you need all three. Physical treatment, talk therapy, and normalization of environment and activities. Melencolia is one the four black biles it is known now as depression. Mind is rational so if person is behaving in an elusive matter it"s the pineal gland not connecting. He believed it was a physical problem. Madness is a disorder not of emotions but of cognition.
