Most gm crops are to ensure yields, not to improve yields. Yields relative to many factors in agricultural production. Would you rather lose 10 pounds of something super poisonous or 1 pound of something poisonous. There isn"t a lot of polling in comparison to things like politics. In 2010 more people disagree with gmos in comparison to 2005. People are ignorant of the science, don"t know much about it, and become afraid, so they are against it. Should teach the controversy instead of teaching something is right or wrong. They just don"t know, it"s not that they think differently. People usually answer a certain way when they don"t know much. Dumb democrats get the answer wrong, smart democrats get the answer right. Conservative republicans get it wrong basically most of the time. Can use knowledge to cater to certain views. People"s view on science depends on knowledge, and political and social identities.
