Dna molecule has polarity: 5" (phosphate) and 3" ends (hydroxyl group, two strands go in opposite direction. Dna is wrapped around proteins called histones, which are then organized. 2018/10/16 into structure called nucleosomes: chromosome, gene, and dna. 46 chromosomes (23 pairs of homologous chromosome. similar but not identical) Possession of gene v. s. expression of the gene.
