Document Summary

10/12 cranial nerves important for muscle and sensory funcion of head and neck. Spinal cord: brings sensory informaion in from body. Cranial nerves: brings sensory informaion in from head and neck. Reicular acivaing system combinaion of gray and white mater. Molecular layer mainly illed with dendrites of purkinje cells. Purkinje layer biggest neuron, cell bodies in 2nd layer, large dendriic arbor, project out through cerebellar cortex and synapse in deep cerebellar nuclei. Purkinje cells: neurons that project to the deep cerebellar nuclei. Granule cells : form parallel ibers up to the molecular layer and splits, make contacts with muliple purkinje cells in both direcions. Purkinje cells project to this climbing ibers come from inferior olive projecions from the deep cerebellar nuclei. > vesibular nuclei equilibrium (vesibular nucleus -> cerebellum -> nucleus. Cervical- holding your neck up, all somaic motor neurons from arms, larger diameter. Thoracic- thoracic ribs, muscles in body cavity (back muscles)
