Cutaneous and proprioceptors in skin muscle and tendons. Motor eferents -> somaic nervous system -> skeletal muscle. Motor eferents -> ans -> sympatheic nervous system -> smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, and exocrine glands. Exocrine glands: sweat glands, some in digesive system. 1 neuron will exit ventral horn and innervate a single skeletal muscle iber (acetyl choline) -> contracion. Parasympatheic nervous system (rest and digest) (turn on digesion) Synapse on smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, or exocrine glands. Long preganglionic axon and cell body from 4 cranial nerves/sacral spinal cord -> ach. Ganglia: groups of neurons that are enclosed in connecive issue. These happen to be postganglionic parasympatheic neurons that are distributed in thoracic or abdominal cavity. Sympatheic nervous system (ight or light) (turn of digesion) Preganglionic neuron from immediate horn of t/l spinal cord -> ach. Post ganglionic neuron from prevertebral/sympatheic chain -> norepinephrine. Intermediate horn of spinal cord (intermediate horn of thoracic and upper lumbar)
