Document Summary

Since 1975 things have been going badly. We have today something called median voter theory. The british believe in the political value of the two party system. Political science has taught that there is a direct correlation between a country"s electoral system and its party system. Specifically the single member district system each district elects 1 representative leads to a two-party system. One party will be on the left. One party will be on the right. Goes back to the 1950s in the economic theory of democracy by anthony. He did this with real estate agencies and found that the two agencies would try to locate along the same main street instead of one taking north and south they chose the middle. The real estate agencies would try to carve out its side but also inroads to the other side of the territory.
