Linear perspective, the vanishing point, and the renaissance. 1300-1600: renewed interest in history, literature, and art. Renewed study of ancient greece and rome. Considered to be the most influential artist on renaissance painting. Figures seem to extend both backward, into the picture, and forward, out of the picture.
