PSYCH 135 Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Detergent, Cision
Document Summary
Ability to engage in reflective conscious thought which acts like a muscle that can tire out. It is like a muscle that may strengthen over time. Knowing how others know us: knowing others (controlled social process) Questions what their reason is for doing so. Make judgments about people that make this decision. * if they do something you don"t agree with, then you characterize them as being mean, crazy, and rude. * we always evaluate others and ourselves using these rules we"ve created: only these evaluations aren"t always valid. You could base them off a biased view: event though we"ve used upper level thinking and judgment, doesn"t mean that this logic isn"t flawed, which it normally is. Just because there is logic to something and someone can tell you the rationale, it does not mean that it is sensible or accurate.
