Document Summary

3rd february 2011: most projective testing does not have interrater reliability but because of the scoring system, the tat does. So they developed programs to make people into high-achievers. In this change program, they show the tat and then try to get these people to think like high achievers think about long term goals, etc, take intermediate risks. Put the person you admire the most at the top and the person you admire the least at the bottom. Then compare yourself to the person at the top and think about what you have to do to become more like the person you admire the most: these programs do not show much success though. There might be some short term excitement but there are not empirical tests that show they actually help. Level of aspiration has to do with achievement motivation: subjects go into room and are given three tasks to choose between.
