She talks with indigenous women in the detention centers. Bound up with the kind of ways that people"s experience is expected by the person"s race, gender, etc. How the inner section makes the women"s experience not the same. It"s not a topic that he speaker was comfortable with because a lot of domestic violence came out. She looked at satte violence not domestic violence. She didn"t know how to relate it to the different type of violence. A problem of men but how do we get them to stop it. She looks at the way they are interrelated. There"s more to it that we have to look at. A model put forth by feminist theory. What she theoretically tries to do is say no it"s not just private it is public. Got rid of the dichotomy along one continuum. She was sexuallly assulted with her mothers consent. The mom had gotten money to sleep with the guys.
