Atahualpa says that he could fill two rooms with gold and silver. Spaniards hold a trial for atahualpa and find him guilty: they execute him, atahualpa"s generals then take cuzco. Manco capac became the puppet ruler for awhile. Sebastian de benalcazar: 1533-39- supposed to go south and into enemy territory: pays off almagro to leave, goes on chilean expedition: 1535-37. Inca revolt: 1536-37- incas revolted and besieged cuzco: manco capac rebelled against the spaniards, almagro is able to lift the siege on cuzco.
