This idea about learning the particular details about each culture"s history has helped explain the differences between different native american cultures. Believed that there was no biological orientation or real differences between the different human races. He believed that each culture just had a different way of thinking (not right or wrong). He focused on salvage ethnography (the recording of different cultures and all of their aspects that were in danger of extinction). He recognized that cultures were in danger of disappearing due to globalization and that it was vital that anthropologists document all of the different cultures so that they weren"t completely lost. British structural functionalism looked at how each structure within a culture functioned and what their places within a culture were. The different structures included things such as friendship, family, political agendas and religion.
