Neglect: neglect definition - failure to meet a child"s basic needs, physical, medical, educational, emotional, negative effects of neglect. Physical abuse: definition, non-accidental injury of a child. Includes excessive discipline: how determined, child disclosure. Injuries: not match explanations, with inconsistent explanations, with various stages of healing, shape/type, psychological/emotional abuse, not wanting to go outside, not being responsive isolation, sexual abuse, sexual contact. Intercourse: exhibitionism, exploitation, production of pornography, more common towards girls, but boys can also experience it. Causes of abuse/maltreatment: original: adult psychological disturbance, family system, children. If they were abused as a child, they are likely to be abusive to their future child: parents. If they have unreasonable expectations: young age, low educational training, community.
