Example

are abandoned
They are not actually interested in social
justice, or want specific numbers of how many
children have been orphaned. What they really
want to know is if they will be abandoned, if
you will ever leave them
Best way to answer this question?
Assure them that you love them and that you
will never abandon them
o Reflecting feelings
Teaching the child about the world
How people act
The consequences for different behaviors
If you choose to take your anger and hit somebody, there will
be consequences
How to name and manage emotions
Reflect feelings so that they understand what they are feeling
that that is okay
how they can manage their feelings
